Question description

You as the primary researcher are interested in the possible effects of the drug Ritalin on the behavior of ADHD children. A group of children diagnosed with ADHD are randomly selected and taken for treatment to a behavioral-psychology clinic. The group of children is then randomly broken down into two groups, group A and group B. The two groups are then measured on an ADHS scale. Group A is given daily doses of Ritalin, while Group B is given a placebo.  Both groups receive identical daily behavioral treatment at the clinic.  Then six weeks later the children are reevaluated regarding their ADHD. At the end of this six week period, the pre-test and post-test scores for all the children are compared.
