Title : Why Artificial Intelligence will inevitably replace jobs and professions.Audience/Purpose: My Target audience is individuals with in a legal working age. Sothey will have a brief idea how the next generation Artificial Intelligence (AI) revolution orcomputer automation will affect the future of jobs and profession. I would like to informmy audience the current development in computer technology will replace many jobs,even. I will also try to address the social, economical and ethical impacts. Everyonegoing into work force has the freedom to decide what kind of jobs to pick or whichprofession to have, with or without formal education, but the reality very much dependson the ongoing and forthcoming technological and environmental factors. The choices inthis case might not be plenty therefore I will try to briefly discusses which sectors arealready losing jobs or expected to lose to AI in few years or decades.Furthermore, I will try to discuses how professions are affected which professionswould be in demand in this revolution or which would be replaced and would there benew one created. I believe this will give my audience a reason to briefly think about thefuture prospect of jobs and professions.Introduction: Over the last six, there has been a rapid development in InformationComputer Technology (ICT) [8]. These extensive research and development hasbrought up immense change to the way we live. From individuals, small businesses tomultinational organizations and governments all depend on computer and computerinfrastructure.Artificial Intelligence, the science and engineering of making intelligent machines,especially intelligent computer programs which have similar characteristics to humanabilities and behaviours [5], is one of such new streams these developments hasbrought up. AI is making it possible to develop machines that can perform tasksrequiring reasoning, judgment, and perception that previously could be done only byhumans [9]. This AI revolution is posing a lot of questions some believe that this isâdé?jà vuâ and by no means different from what we historically had in previousrevolutions, while others have a pessimistic view because that rate of jobs loss to thisrevolution is considerable and if it continues in same pace it will even replaceprofessions [1]. But it is important to address these questions is AI replacing jobs forgood or would there be a new types created? which jobs are already beings replaced?What would be the fate of professions or jobs displaced would they find a new role?Historically there are different revolutions that took place in workplace. The majorone being industrial revolution: which is characterized by a changing productionmethods from manual to powered machines intending to increase production. It isvariable to think AI is similar in that it is replacing labour to improve productivity. Butwhat makes this revolution different? How can this revolution be characterized in termsof expected outcomes or effects from the ones preceding it? Can we apply What havewe learned from previous ones that we could use to our benefits?There have been various trends in AI ever since its inception. In the earlier daysof Artificial Intelligence, there was an enormous amount of hype about the possibilitiesof computer technology in creating intelligent machines but these expectations wereunrealistic [5]. The question, then, is how business, government and individuals willunderstand AI. With out enough information its possible to underestimate the successand effects. While these imminent changes hold great promise for future it might alsopose major challenges requiring proactive understanding of this change. Therefore,what are the technical, social, ethical or legal issues that would come up related to thistechnology?
