Cover Letter

This assignment will be one page, approximately 250 words, and serves as a practical creative writing assignment to help students in their current/future career endeavors.

A cover letter is usually required for positions that require a bachelor’s degree. The purpose of cover letters is to show the employer what you “bring to the table”; it is also a great opportunity to show a potential employer why you are better suited than others for said position.

Students will write a cover letter for their “dream job” after they graduate.

1. Length – 250 word minimum

2. The cover letter should mostly follow these formats (students can utilize multiple examples to come up with their own cover letter – these formats do not need to be followed explicitly):
