The cognitive ability of spatial performance is all about an object location and how it fits into the space round it. This includes the direction it may be facing, the angle it is, its location in relation to other objects, and the small details that makes it unique or similar to other objects. According to the textbook, American men seems to be slightly better in more areas of spatial skills than women when tested. Of course, this can change due to multiple variables or mental training. Spatial tasks does favoring men (Brannon, L., 2017, p. 179). Fortunately, women are better at memory tasks and identification.

Due to this finding and pointing, it seems men are better at spatial skills. Also. it is believed that men are better at navigation and have clearer perception of their surroundings. This shows that men are believed to be able to excel in areas like video games and computer programming (Brannon, L., 2017, p. 181). It’s hard to say that nature verses nurture being the cause of this perceived gender difference. I feel that nurture affects gender differences in spatial abilities more than nature.

DIRECTIONS:

By Day 5
Respond to one of your colleagues in one of the following ways:

Ask a probing question, and provide insight into how you would answer your question and why.
Ask a probing question, and provide the foundation (or rationale) for the question.
Expand on your colleague’s posting by offering a new perspective or insight.
Agree with a colleague and offer additional (new) supporting information for consideration.
Disagree with a colleague by respectfully discussing and supporting a different perspective.
Support your reply to a colleague’s post with at least one reference (textbook or other scholarly, empirical resources). You may state your opinion and/or provide personal examples; however, you must also back up your assertions with evidence (including in-text citations) from the source and provide a reference. As a result of this discovery and pointing, it appears that men have superior spatial abilities. In addition, it is considered that men are better navigators and have a clearer understanding of their surroundings compared to women. This demonstrates that men are perceived to be capable of achieving success in fields such as video gaming and computer programming (Brannon, L., 2017, p. 181). It’s difficult to say if the perceived gender difference is due to nature or nurture on the one hand, and on the other. I believe that gender disparities in spatial abilities are more influenced by nurture than by nature.
