In 2 pages (typed, double spaced), please describe in detail the topic area you’d like to pursue for your final project. This statement should reflect a familiarity with the vocabulary in your text and may cite sources, as necessary.
All abstracts should address the following:
What is your topic? What is it all about?
Why have you selected this topic?
Why is it important/timely/worth studying?
What does your project ultimately hope to achieve? What problem will it try to solve?
Does a sufficient literature exist (are there enough sources?) to support a major research paper?
Suggest a few research questions that may be associated with your topic.
Please be as specific as possible. You may submit multiple ideas in one topic statement. You should use some basic research methods concepts and vocabulary in your proposal.
