Quran as an Islamic artifact
Quran is an Islamic artifact that that provides guidelines for better living to Muslims, connecting the supernatural being (God) with a human being. According to Muslims, the Quran provides God’s statement to a human being through their prophet Muhammad. A visit to the museum enabled me to come close to the Islamic teaching through the study of the Quran as an artifact that defines their religion as well as their way of living. Quran provides a better understanding of the connection between Islamic religion and other religions across the world, having God as the common factor and the rest being considered as prophets who were sent to deliver God’s message.
Quran is a tool for civilization among Muslims as it motivates positive values for a human being like compassion, devotion, love, mercy, peace, education among others. The artifact promotes cohesion among human being, providing them with the need to care for each other. Islamic religion promotes both political and social revolution for human being creating a connection between Muslims and non-Muslims through the Quran which requires a human being to abide by the law for a better living. After seeing and reviewing Quran in the museum, I came to appreciate its teaching and the Islamic law into detail as it is one of the most friendly and connecting religion especially on matters relating to social life and human interaction.
My personal connection with this book came as a result of my desire to understand the popularity of the Quran and the Islamic religion across the world. Apart from being the second largest religious group in the world, Muslims have a high economic profile with Islamic countries being among the controller of the world economy. From this desire, I came to understand that the Quran promotes human values that facilitate hard work and care for one another enabling them to promote collective economic growth and peace and harmony among themselves.
