Leadership Perspective
The World Health Organization is a worldwide agency that is responsible for the societal public health issue. The governing principles and structure of WHO is always established by its constitution. The main aim of this organization is to provide health-related information to people to prevent the spread of diseases, thereby reducing poverty and suffering. Its mission is all about investing in people, and its vision is to use health information, education, and technology for the betterment of human development.
The leadership perspective in the World Health Organization may differ from the change and advocacy perspective in that; leaders influence their followers to achieve a specific goal. Whereas advocates always push for goal achievement by the use of low (Packard, 2009, 143). Second, leadership creates change in an organization by developing direction through aligning and visioning their followers or subordinates with the strategies, inspiring, and motivating workers (Homan, 2016: 2024 – Do my homework – Help write my assignment online, 20). Advocacy or rules are always used by the management to create change through budgeting, proper planning, problem-solving, and controlling. Advocacy creates order, predictability, and consistency in regards to a particular outcome (Packard, 2009, 144). Lastly, leadership emphasizes the practices that are based on evidence. This may work out in two main ways. First, leaders always methods that are based on evidence to plan and execute the organization’s program. Second, practices that are evidence based are always used by leaders to evaluate leadership models, theories, and guidelines for the practice.
The differences mentioned above are important in the World Health Organization since it helps in finding evidence-based information and solving public health issues. The WHO leaders will concentrate on finding evidence for a particular disease, therefore helps reduce suffering to the community.
