Question description

It is so important that an
organization is aligned with my values. I believe people should treat
other’s as they would like to be treated. One of the most important
values to me is honesty and communication. Communication can go a long
way in solving
problems. If a problem is never addressed it can create more problems
down the road. That doesn’t mean that everyone will always agree with
the outcome or solution to the problem, but it is a starting point. I
have learned through the years that not everyone has the same values,
but I do respect their values and beliefs and expect the same in return.
The organization I work for is very diverse, to say the least. We
have one supervisor that feels it’s okay to scream at his followers on
the workroom floor. I have spoken with this individual on several
occasions. It is sad to say, but there is no getting through to this
person, and he is my first chain of command. He belittles most of the
employees and intimidates them. So much so that most are afraid to
approach him for anything. This has been going on for years. He does not
intimidate me, nor do I allow him to scream at me. I went to his boss,
which was useless because he is intimidated by him also. So I had to go
above his head. It is currently in the hands of the PM.
If there is a serious problem at work, you have to follow the chain
of command. I do know that if the PM doesn’t take care of the problem, I
will go to his superior. Employees do not have to put up with a hostile
work environment. Again, treat others as you would like to be treated.    agree or disagree with this post with 2-3 sentences
