Directions:
1. Identify a teacher in your field of study or current school who is willing to let you observe their classroom and interview them. The observation only needs to be one class period/subject. **** This can be completed via Zoom, Google Meets, etc.
2. Observe the accommodations and modifications that the teachers are providing for the students with and without disabilities in the classroom. You may need to follow up with questions to the teacher you observed. 3. Document the accommodations and modifications observed by area of disability (LD, Autism, none, etc) and by subject area (math, english, etc). What accommodations and/or modifications are being provided (extended time, quiet work area, etc) and how they are being provided ( by the teacher, paraprofessional, student buddy, etc)
4. Read at least 3 legitimate sources that address accommodations and modifications for students with disabilities. Provide a short summary of each,
5. Compare your observations to those cited in your research studies. What similarities and differences can you identify between the research and practice (observations).
