For this test, I want you to write an essay analyzing the evolution of slavery from the establishment of the nation (so ratification of the Constitution) to the 1850s. Be sure to discuss the legislation that was put in place as well as the technology, society, and resistance that surrounded the “peculiar institution.”
There is no word limit, however, as this is not a timed assignment, your essay should have some length (meaning more than one paragraph). You should not need any sources beyond your book and the links I have already provided. Please try to avoid using quotes, paraphrase whenever possible.
