explain how each perspective would explain the topic of the document. To do this you can focus on one comparison made in the document or the topic in general. What you’ll do is describe what a functionalist would say about the document topic. Then you’ll tell me how you know that statement would be a functionalist (as opposed to a conflict theorist or symbolic interactionist). Then you’ll describe what a conflict theorist would say about the topic followed by an explanation of how you know it’s conflict theory. Finally, you’ll describe what a symbolic interactionist would say about the topic and then how you know it’s symbolic interactionism.
When you provide the statements explaining how you know its part of that perspective the idea is to demonstrate you know what’s typically talked about for that perspective. This could be including comments about functions, homeostasis, power, and/or negotiations of definitions and reality.
