Global Social Work: Case Analysis
The purpose of this assignment is to integrate Global Social Work Practice theories and concepts with practice.
Develop an ecobiopsychosocial assessment of a client that you are working with at your practicum or connected to the global learning community work. Include client’s context, strengths/resources and resources. Visuals and narrative can be utilized.
Select 2 of the following concepts or theoretical frameworks and explore how you have or would apply them in the Developing a relationship (engagement). Exploring and assessment, identifying and developing goals, intervention/activities, evaluation/termination with this client system (can be any size system).
Theoretical Frameworks: intercultural differences (power distance, high/low context, conflict solving models, individualistic & collectivistic values), global ethics model, and empowerment/capacity building frameworks, spiritual or cultural relevant intervention/techniques. Thoughtfulness, depth, and clarity are heavily factored into the evaluation of this section.
This paper should be 4-5 pages in length and written in APA format (no cover page is needed). Please attend to writing, grammar and punctuation.

Hello, hope you all had a good fall break. A few students sent me some questions regarding the Case Analysis assignment and I wanted to share my response to them with all of you in case it is helpful. The question was regarding how to organize the paper. My response below.
You can organize the paper, as you like, however, I think it is helpful to follow the rubric, You can use the areas of the rubric as the headings for the sections of the paper – that way you are sure that you are covering each section. There are longer descriptions of these areas in the attachement and in the rubric itself…I have the headings for each area below…this provides a good template to structure the paper.
Case Presentation – Ecological Model You are using the Ecological model as the template for presenting the information about the case. Eco-Bio-Psycho-Social and Spiritual (if it applies)
Analysis: Select 2 Theoretical Frameworks – These frameworks also can assist with provide an analysis about what is happing in the case..for example, think about the Strengths perspectives or Empowerment framework, maybe globalization….
Pathways & Partnerships: Development of Goals and a Plan forward – this is the Goal setting and action plans for the case ….now that you have the information and the presenting issues……where do you begin, what are the priorities, what actions can be taken to assist the client with solutions. Will you involve others..partners, referrals?
Please integrate and reference information from at least 3 of the assigned readings. – This one is pretty self explanatory.
Writing: Synthesis and critical thinking, grammar, APA format – With this one, be sure to use APA formats and references both in the text and at the end of the paper,..and a reference section or bibliography for any materials that you used.
