Give an example of a nursing problem that would be addressed adequately with each type of qualitative research. Why would qualitative traditions be the best approach? 3. Consider the research question, “What is the lived experience of women who have breast cancer and are diagnosed as infertile?” Devise a sampling strategy for this question, including inclusion and exclusion criteria and a specific sampling method. The constant-comparison analytic method is common in qualitative analysis. What do you believe is the rationale for a constant-comparison approach? What are its strengths? What are its drawbacks? 8. What is involved in developing a codebook? Why it is important? Describe how a codebook is used in the qualitative analysis process. Why is a codebook essential for content analysis and the development of themes? 9. Should qualitative research be scrutinized for reliability and validity? What is the advantage of doing so? What are the potential drawbacks of judging qualitative research with standard evaluation tools?
