Description

This analysis is designed to be a short essay, which allows you to begin to think about key theological concepts in relation to film and other media. Theological concepts are woven throughout media and film in direct and indirect ways. Through this analysis, it is a goal that you will begin to see such patterns and ideas merge.

You have three films to choose from for your analysis:

· Black Panther

· The Big Sick

· Moneyball

· Toy Story

· Wonder Woman

· Avengers: End Game

· Love Actually

· Brave

· The Hate U Give

· Remember the Titians

· Crazy Rich Asians

· Get Out

Be sure to cover the following:

· A synopsis of the film

· Three key theological elements present throughout the film (light, darkness, sin, salvation, grace, support, community, etc.)

· Analysis of how the meaning of the film changes in light of viewing it from a theological lens

Your analysis should be 7 pages, double-spaced, with one-inch margins, 12 point font. They should also include outside references (our textbooks, our dictionary, the bible, class lectures) that further support your description of the theological themes that occur throughout the film.

Lastly, your essay should have an interesting title (not just the name of the film!)
